Vivian Mcclure

Vivian “Tootsie” Smith McClure, 88, of Elgin, Texas passed away, with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday evening, April 4, 2018. She was born March 22, 1930, to J D and Eugenia (Lockhart) Smith in Austin, TX.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; both her parents; her three brothers JD, Johnny and Jackie Smith; and sisters, Carol Shugart and Mary Smith; her daughter, Bonnie Harkrider; and granddaughter, Kristl Gibson.

Vivian is survived by her son, Charles Pruett, Jr. and wife Kim of Argyle; three daughters Betty Gibson of Choctaw, OK, Janet and husband Ed Futhey of Grapevine, and Amy McClure Whisenant and her partner Mark Hale of Corpus Christi; her sister, Fannie Lawrence of Del Valle; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Vivian loved her family, reading, crossword puzzles and making friends with most everyone she met.

The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, April 6th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted graveside at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Saturday, April 7th at 10:00 AM with The Rev. Ronnie Gregory Presiding. Honoring her as Pallbearers are Stephen Fredrickson, D. Brandon Fredrickson, John Gregory, Trenton Gregory, Aaron Hale, Marshall Dillion and Colton Adamick.
