The epitome of elegance and steadfast faith, Mrs. Viola Mae Brown entered into Eternal rest on June 1, 2020. Viola Mae was born to Mervin Hibbs and Berthie Brumet on October 26, 1939, in Bastrop County, Texas.
Viola loved her family and enjoyed caring for them. It was a highlight of her day when she cooks and they would gather at home for family time. This God-fearing woman loved her God, her church and the community around always putting others before herself.
Viola was united in Holy Matrimony on October 16, 1965 to Elroy Brown. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and family at Cedar Valley Church, growing her beautiful roses, and her weekly trips to the beauty shop and playing bingo, especially when she would win.
On June 1, 2020, Viola passed away and will join her parents, her children, Oscar, Eugene, and Geanette; and great grandson, Jessie.
She is survived by her darling husband of fifty-four years, Elroy Brown, her children, Susie and her husband, Jack Organ, Carl Lige Brown and his wife, Barbara, Mary Lynn and her husband, Alec New, Debbie Bruner, and Kathy, grandchildren, Amanda, Jacob, Talmadge, Junior, Anderson, Russel, and Karla, numerous great grandchildren, and five generations of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive guests Friday, June 5th from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Cedar Valley Baptist Church. A Celebration of her life will be conducted graveside, at 2:30 PM Friday, June 5th, at JJ Manor Cemetery.
