Ureal Dean Fort, 84, retired machinist and bar owneroperator, surrounded by family and friends, passed peacefully home to our Heavenly Father on February 4, 2013. He was born in Webberville, Texas to Clarence Fort and Rosabell Hibbs Fort on February 12, 1928.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Fort and Rosa Bell Fort motherinlaw Ruth Layton and one daughter Pamela Dean.He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ruthie Naomi Lyeton Fort four daughters, Crystal and husband Mike Lawhon, Rose and husband Warren ONeill, Tina and husband John Hernandez, Linda and husband Roger Smith six grandchildren, Tyler Dean ONeill, Xavier Hernandez, Victor Hernandez, Alyssa Hernandez, Tiffany Lancaster, and Candy and husband Randy Schneider greatgrandchild, Aaron Dean Green sisterinlaw, Ruby and husband Gerardo Guzman dear friend, Buster Bostic and numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 6th. A funeral service will be conducted at Elgin Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 7th with Pastor Oscar Graves officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Elgin Cemetery with Buster Bostic, Gerardo Guzman, Mike Lawhon, Warren ONeill, Isaiah Guzman, and John Hernandez acting as Pall Bearers. Honorary pallbearers are Lee Jones, Roger Smith, and Randy Schneider.
