Then youll be ready to come my wayThe pages of this book began for Mrs. Tina Marie Jackson Thomas on May 12, 1935 in Watterson, Texas to the parentage of Lanus and Mae Ollie Jackson. Tina grew up in Bastrop County and attended the public schools. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.Tina Marie was united in holy matrimony to Willie Thomas on June 22, 1968. They worshipped together at Mount Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend C. F. M. Jones and Reverend L. R. White for a number of years. Tina later joined Weeping Willow Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend James A. Fowler, serving as an usher at both locations in and out of season.Tina was a vibrant, giving, talkative person who never met a stranger. She was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She was truly a family person, who loved working outdoors, spending time in the garden and attending to her plants. She was employed in the health care service where she took care of her patients and their flowers. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Harris, Hardy, William and Henry Lee and five sisters Willie, Ella, Myrtle, Annie Mae and Ruby Lee.On October 31, 2013, God told Tina Marie it was time to come home she immediately obeyed His command and surrendered to His will. She leaves her cherished memories to her husband, Deacon Willie Thomas, her sons, Lanus Doodie and Alvin Pop six grandchildren thirteen great grandchildren three sisters, Seymore Bradford, Rosetta Hodge and Bethel Fitzgerald inlaw includes Katherine, Ella, Mary Jo, Lorine, Erma Jean, Ernestine, and Reverend Isaiah Thomas and wife Jackie a host of nieces and nephews spanning three generations, alone with other relatives and friends.
