God saw the road was getting weary, he did what he thought was best.
He came and stood beside you and whispered “come and rest”.
You bade no one farewell not even a goodbye
it broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
God gave us strength to bear it
and courage to take the blow.
But what it meant to lose you, no one but God will know.
