Susa R. Campos, 75, of Bastrop, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Survived by her husband David. Family and friends will gather at the Elgin Funeral Home on Sunday, September 8th from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM and will recite the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM. A Celebration of Christian Funeral Mass will be conducted at Ascension Catholic Church of Bastrop on Monday, September 9th at 10:00 AM with Father, Ramiro Tarazona presiding. Entombment is will be conducted at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen at a later date.
The battle is over, I have fought a good fight, and the victory is finally won.

Mrs. Susa Rivera Campos was born in Cameron, Texas on May 8, 1944 to Phillip and Mannuela (Nellie) Rivera, the youngest of three girls. She attended the public schools of Lubbock, Texas and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1963.
“A Time To Plant”
Susa continued her education from the Methodist Hospital in Lubbock and began a Nursing Career. Working in varies nursing fields, Susa came to central Texas and settle herself with St. David’s. She retired from the St. David Network after thirty years. Her passion was with Austin Rehab. Susa was united in Holy Matrimony to David Campos, Jr. and this union was blessed with two sons, Paul Patrick and David, III. Susa enjoyed and loved family. Her peace time was when she would work with her plants… talking to them for they were good listeners and did not talk back only grew beautifully, indicating they enjoyed the conversation.

Susa was called from labor to reward on September 3, at 11:53 pm with her family at her bedside.

Susa lived a thankful enriched life and her legacy and labor of love will be long remembered by her loving and devoted husband of forty-seven years, David Campos, Jr., her children, Paul Patrick Campos and his wife, Sheelagh, and David Campos, III and his wife, Robin Ilse; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; two sisters, Rose Gauna of Lubbock, and Lucy and her husband, Coy Crawford of Pennsylvania; two Aunts, Guadalupe Villarreal of Lockhart, and Margarita Alonzo of Lubbock, and one uncle, Daniel Rojas of Lubbock, and a host of other relatives and friends.
