Sherlyin Brockington

Sherlyin LaVon Brockington, 49, beautician of Austin, formerly of Taylor, passed away Monday, when God saw her getting tired and called her home from this life on September 3, 212. Sherlyin, affectionately known as Sharon, was born to the parents of Elmo Williams of St. Louis, MO and Lucille Scott of Taylor, TX at Johns Community Hospital in Taylor on January 31, 1963. She attended public schools in Taylor and after moving to Louisiana, she completed her Diploma. Upon Sherlyins return to Texas, she pursued a career cosmetology and graduated from Austin School of Cosmetology. She found her calling was working with senior citizens and spent countless hours doing their hair at nursing homes and retirement centers. Sherlyin kept busy and some considered her to be a workaholic before her health began to fail. She was a people person one who not only cared for others but always found a way to make others laugh.
