And now the end is near and so I face the final curtain
My friend I’ll say it clear I’ll state my case of which I’m certain
I’ve lived a life that’s full I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this…. I did it my way!
Words cannot express the humility in this woman we called Wife, Mama, Mom, Grandma,
Aunt, Cousin, Friend, Sister, Christian – Child of God
On the beautiful day of Wednesday, October 10, 1962, in the community of Austin, Texas, Ray Shell Jones and Ray Bell Jones were blessed with a beautiful bouncing baby girl. This gift from God was given the name Sharon Denise Jones.
“A Time To Plant”
Sharon entered a religious covenant with God at an early age where she kept her faith until death. She was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church in Kimbro, Texas. Sharon attended the public schools of Bastrop County, graduating from Elgin High School in 1981.
“A Time To Play and Work”
Sharon worked in the healthcare field for Travis State School and Bluebonnet Trails. After many years, she retired and found her passion as an entrepreneur. Sharon created “Cadillac’s Fashions $ Boutique” selling fashion wear. Her fashion led her to be a party planner. All that knew Sharon, knew she was crazy about her children and grandchildren, her family and her friends. She was loved by many, and her heart was bigger than circle of friends.
“A Time To Die”
On Sunday, February 9, 2025, with family surrounding her bed, Sharon gained her wings. Sharon led an active and fulfilling life for this legacy she established is endless. This occasion has caused many hearts to bleed and many eyes to water because of having to bid “adieu” to OUR MOMMA – Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Ray Shell Jones, a brother, Clifton and a sister, Dorothy E. Thomas.
“A Time To Celebrate”
After seeing her family generations, Sharon lived a thankful enriched life and her legacy will be long remembered by her four children, who she adored and loved, Shanta Harvey Mays, Sharesa Harvey Mays, Ladaseron Bunton Mays ’Poo Poo’ and Ladarren Bunton Mays, her loveable fourteen grandchildren, Rayleshon Walker, RaeDerrick Harvey, Shanti Harvey, Rayden Harvey, DaQualin Sutton, Sha‘Qushai Sutton, ReyCurtis Wilson, Curtavious Wilson, CliffiNasha Wilson, Darren Bunton, Ian Bunton, J’Lynn Bunton, and Aaris Bunton; her loving and caring mother, Ray Bell Jones; her forgiving sibling, Iree Jones, Betty Mayberry, Charles Jones and Sherman Jones; her host of nieces and nephews that she holds dear to her heart; and her hope to die for, homegirl, sister, friend, Lucky and other relatives and a host of friends.
“I Did It My Way!”
“My story ain’t over Yet!!!”
Sharon will be missed by all, because we love her so dearly; but we know God loves her more, that’s why He saw that she had suffered enough and pulled her from the garden of life and said,
“Sharon my child it is time to come home; come on up to Glory where there is no more pain and suffering.”
