Sarah Rogers

Sarah Irene Rogers, 79, of Elgin, passed away Saturday evening surrounded by her family, January 21, 2023.

Sarah was born on September 1, 1943, to Irene and Frank Gleason Copeland in Pearl, Mississippi.  Sarah grew up in Irving, Texas.  Her love was spending time with her beloved Pomeranian named Beacon who recently passed away, and Foxie who is 15 years old.  They were the best dressed pups with 100’s of coordinating outfits.  She worked several jobs during her life, she was a School Bus Driver for many years and later was a Security Guard.  She was very talented musically.  Sarah played the Saxophone and sang in Opry Houses through out Central Texas.  Sarah had a passion for Farm Story online gaming with national and international friends.  She loved country life and all animals as she had as a kid.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Rogers; parents, Irene, and Frank Gleason Copeland; two sons, Billy Carpenter, and Chris Carpenter; her best friend, her dog, Beacon.

Sarah leaves to cherish her memories, son, Craig Carpenter; daughter, Comeiletea Neves; 7 grandchildren, Courtney Baker, Anthony Rugerie, Keith Carpenter, Emjay Ruiz, Cameron Carpenter, Dillon Carpenter, and Brandon Carpenter; her sweet dog, Foxie who is now in the loving care of Comeiletea; she was loved and will be missed by a large extend family in Mississippi. Services will be private.
