Samuel Brooks Pearce, 64, of Bastrop, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Samuel was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 15, 1954 to Maybellene and Robert Pearce. He graduated from Tupelo High School, where he played football and basketball. He then left “Big T-Town,” moving around a lot before falling in love with the big state of Texas. Samuel moved to Austin with his then wife, Karen and daughter Angela. His daughter, Allison was born in Austin shortly after.
Samuel worked for over 30 years in the oil and gas industry. This job brought him all over the world and allowed him to experience and appreciate many people and cultures. As much as he enjoyed traveling, he also loved coming home to Austin and his family and friends. His favorite things included listening to music, fishing with anyone who would go with him, and cheering for his Texas Longhorns and New Orleans Saints.
Samuel is survived by his daughters, Angela Atkins McMaster and Allison Pearce; his beloved brother and sister, Robert Edmund Pearce and Gloria Pearce Godwin; and all his extended family and friends.
