Russell Gordon

Russell Eugene Gordon, 62, civil service logistics specialist, passed away early Monday morning, November 5, 2012. Russ was born the only son of Ernest E. Gordon and Frances M. Tamburo in born in Roanoke, Virginia, on February 21, 1950. Russ served honorably for the United States Air Force, which included a tour in Vietnam and the Philippines. Upon returning to the United States, he lived in Del Rio for a few years before ultimately moving to Austin, where he finally settled and established his home. After serving for over 20 years in the U.S.A.F., he retired in 1989, then went on to build a second career in civil service. His work took him to Korea and back before retiring again in 2010.
