In Loving Memory of Rosa Ann “Trevino” Villagran
September 9, 1973 – December 12, 2024
It is with deep sorrow but also immense love that we remember Rosa Ann “Rosa” Villagran, who entered Eternal Glory, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the tender age of 51. Born on September 9, 1973, in Austin, Texas, Rosa was a devoted mother to her beloved children: Adriana Diaz, Eddie Arteaga Jr., Miguel Olivares, and Alma Nava. She found joy as a cherished grandmother to Samantha, Andrew, Christian, Aaron, Eddie, Lucas, and Jennifer. Rosa’s spirit lives on through them, each holding a piece of her warmth and laughter.
Rosa is survived by her children, grandchildren, and her siblings: Jose Trevino, Ernestine Saldana, Joe Trevino, Yolanda Estrada, Betty Diaz, LeeRoy Trevino, Joann Espino, Tomas Trevino, and Mary Navarro. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Margarito Gonzalez, and her parents, as well as two brothers, Steve and Bobby Trevino, who she missed dearly.
Rosa was a light in this world, a beacon of unyielding love and strength for those fortunate enough to know her. Though her time with us was far too brief, her impact was profound and transformative. She fiercely guided her family, offering a safe harbor to her children and grandchildren, enveloping them in unconditional love.
Rosa’s laughter will echo in our hearts forever, a sweet reminder of the joy she brought into our lives. Each moment spent with her was a gift, filled with kindness and acceptance. Her legacy of love will continue through the stories we share and the values she instilled in us all.
While her passing leaves an ache in our hearts, let us find solace in the memories we carry together. Rosa’s spirit dances in the spark of every sunset and whispers in the gentle breeze—always present, always watching over us.
As we gather to celebrate Rosa’s life, let us honor her by nurturing the bonds that she cherished. In the words she lived by, we find comfort and strength: to love fiercely and to live fully. Her life was a testament to the beauty found in love and resilience.
May her soul find eternal peace, and may we find comfort in knowing that she remains with us, living on in the love that binds us as a family. We love you, Rosa, and you will be deeply missed.
Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home on Saturday, December 21st, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and will Pray the the Holy Rosary being recited by Mrs. Yolanda Trevino at 6:30 PM.
