Rodolfo "Rudy" Ramirez, Sr.

Rodolfo “Rudy” Lozano Ramirez, Sr., of Elgin, went Home to be with his Heavenly Father, Sunday morning, September 20, 2020, at the age of 79.

Rudy was preceded in death by both his parents, Roman Ramirez, Sr. and Maria Lozano Ramirez; his sisters, Rosa Tamez, Rachel Segura, Ramona Ramirez, Rita Cuevas; and his brothers, Richard and Raymond Ramirez.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ernestina “Tina” Jimenez Ramirez; his three sons, Rudy, Jr. and wife Patty of Dallas, Roger Ramirez and wife Cecilia of Georgetown, and Rey Ramirez and wife Destany of McDade; his five grandchildren, Evan Jordan Ramirez, Kaia Alicia Ramirez, Alayna Rey Ramirez, Sadie Jane Ramirez, and Demi McClane Carter; his brother Ruben Ramirez; his sister, Rebecca Ramirez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  Rudy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rudy’s casket will lie in state at the Elgin Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 22nd from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.  A Celebration of Christian Funeral Mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Elgin on Wednesday, September 23rd at 11:00 AM with Father George presiding.  Christian Burial OKwill follow at the Elgin Latin Cemetery.
