Robert Brinkley

Robert Lee Brinkley, 75, passed away on September 11, 2022, at 4:05 PM at home surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born on September 14, 1946, to the late Jesse Brinkley and Edna LaFrence.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Edna Brinkley, brother, William and sisters, Patsy, and Joyce, one son, Johnnie, and Grandson, Jaytein.

Robert loved to work on all types of vehicles.  He was a carpenter by trade.  He loved spending time with family and friends playing cards and dominoes.

He always put others first.  If you needed it, he would give you his last dollar even the shirt off his back.  He would go with out to make sure his family had what that needed.

Robert was a ‘jack of all trades’ and full of knowledge and nonsense that he was willing to share with all.

Robert leaves behind to cherish his memories his children, Pattie and her husband, Terry Ramirez, Tammie and her husband, Bobby Jones, and Jessie Brinkley and his wife, Stephanie; seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great- grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and host of cousins and friends.

Serving with Grace and Honor as pallbearers are Ray Kuhn, John Brinkley, Robert Kuhn, Jessie Brinkley, Sasha Kuhn, and Jasmine Brinkley.

Family and Friends will gather at Elgin Funeral Home for Visitation, Friday, September 16th from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Robert’s Life at 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery.
