Richard Sellstrom

Richard Lee Sellstrom, fondly known as TR, departed this life in the early hours of November 12, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on January 22, 1953, in Austin, Texas, Richard graduated from Reagan High School and dedicated 41 years to his career as a lineman with Flowers Construction. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course and cherishing moments with his sons and close friends. Known for his easy-going nature, Richard had the remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Swantie August Sellstrom and Mary McAllister Sellstrom. Richard is survived by his two beloved sons, Caleb August Sellstrom and William Thad Sellstrom, as well as his sister, Mary Sue Sellstrom.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation at Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a celebration of Richard’s life at 7:00 PM. Serving with grace as honorary pallbearers will be Robert Justice, Buster White, BJ Spencer, Jr. Swofford, Keith Repa, Chance Davenport, and Joe Barcuch. Richard Lee Sellstrom will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Friends and Family will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, November 22nd, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Richard's life will follow, beginning at 7:00 PM. The interment will be private.
