Reggie Smith, Sr.

Reggie Wesley Smith was born to Jimmie Lee Smith (deceased) and Ruthie Smith on January 11,1978 in Taylor, Texas.

Reggie grew up in Elgin and attended Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with his Family.

Reggie was employed at multiple jobs; including Sheraton Hotel and several restaurants around Austin and Elgin.

Reggie loved spending time with his family and friends.  He was always visiting somebody.

Reggie is preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee Smith, sister, Monica Brown, brother, Jimmy Andrew Smith, niece Destiny Baugh and longtime friend, Crystal Fitzgerald

Reggie leaves to cherish his memories:  children, Treasure Murrell, Eternity Smith and Reggie Smith Jr.; mother, Ruthie Shackles; sisters, Nicole Smith Ross (Edward), MisRuthie Martinez, Florence Denise Collins (Derrick); brother, Ernest Smith and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reggie was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all.

Reggie Wesley Smith, Sr. will lie In State at Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, April 7th from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.  A Home Going Celebration will be conducted at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, April 8th at 12:00 PM with Reverend Byron Green presiding.  Inurnment will be private.
