He was born the second of five children to Pedro Flores, Sr. and Zoila Garza Flores on January 28, 1930 in Alice, Texas. On December 4, 1955, he married the love of his life, Elvira Jimenez. Pedro worked hard his whole life working as a baker in his earlier years, then in the oil fields of South Texas for over 25 years, and in his later years, as a custodian for Travis County, also serving with the National Guard for over thirty years.
