Pauline (Gutierrez) Aguigui passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years young, in Pflugerville, Texas, on Thursday, September 12, 2019. Pauline was born on Saturday, June 29, 1940 in Elgin, Texas. After moving across the US and spending a few years in Baumholder, Germany, she settled down in Fairfield, California, working as Salano County Jail’s Chef. After retiring, she returned to Manor, Texas, to spend more time with her sisters. If she was not watching her favorite Novela, you would find her on the sidelines cheering on her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mother, a grandmother who taught invaluable life lessons, and a caring sister who was only a call away.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Sabina Gutierrez; sisters, Angelita Carbajal and Molly Reyes; and grandson, Bobby Salas. Pauline is survived by her children, Rita (Bettina) Gulisao, Linda (Richard) Reyes, Eugene (Marcelina) Escalante, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister, Anita Lara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank our extended family for their time, generosity, love and support over the years. Additionally, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care.
The family requests memorial contributions be sent in Pauline’s Honor to The National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org/support.
All are welcome to join and celebrate Pauline's life. Family and friends will gather at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church of Manor on Tuesday, September 17th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.
