Paul Smith

Paul Elbert Smith, 57, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022.  Paul was born in Williamson County on February 5, 1965, to Evelyn LaRue Stewart and Jessie Leo Smith, Sr.  Paul grew up and attended schools in Austin.  He worked as a Lineman for Austin Energy for over 25 years until his retirement.  One of his favorite parts of his job was setting up the Christmas Tree in Zilker Park every year.  Paul loved hunting, fishing and especially enjoyed racing dirt track cars and his best friend, Pais was always by his side.  However, the thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his grandchildren any chance he got.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Robin Ann Prewitt; his brother, Jesse Edwin Smith, Jr.; his sister Teressa Smith; both his parents, Evelyn LaRue Smith and Jesse Smith; and his granddaughter, Kodi Ann Hirsch.

Paul is survived by his son, Brandon Prewitt and wife, Melanie; his daughter, Katie Smith; his grandchildren, Easton Prewitt, Presley Prewitt, Blakley Prewitt, and Revelyn Hirsch; numerous extended family and dear friends.

Serving with grace and honoring Paul as Pall-Bearers are: James Kelly Smith, Dennis Smith, Mark Lyckman, Dean Miller, Johnny Williams, and Robert Hale.

Family and Friends will gather at Fairview Cemetery, to Celebrate Paul’s Life, Saturday, December 17th at 3:00 PM.
