Nelda Hailey

Nelda Ann Hailey, 82, of Austin went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was born on Friday, July 1, 1932 in Austin, Texas. After retiring from AISD as secretary to the personnel director, Nelda loved her volunteer work where she served as President at Seton Northwest Hospital. She was a long time member of Great Hills Baptist Church and the Trend Setters.Nelda is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son. She is survived by two daughters, Becky Collie and her husband James, and Traci Kelsheimer and her husband Richard; daughter in law, Debbie Hailey; six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren and many other loving family and friends..At the family"s request, in lieu of flowers and the usual remembrances they request memorials be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.The family will receive guests at the Elgin Funeral home Saturday, April 25th from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM with a funeral service immediately following at 4:00 PM. Interment will follow at Elgin Cemetery.
