Neal Detrick

Neal Duran Detrick, 64, of Uvalde, formerly of Austin, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021.

He was born in Austin, Texas, on June 21, 1956, to Eugene Earle Detrick and Elsie Irene Wolf.  He was a Master plumber of 40 years and was an eternal student of life.  Throughout his career as a plumber, he watched the once small town, where he was born and raised, develop into the big metropolis that it has become today. No project was too large, and no task was too small.  Neal was emphatic that everyone around him be willing to learn, and then be willing to pass on what they learned to the next man entering their career as a plumber.  Neal loved to smile and thoroughly enjoyed a good joke.  Neal's favorite pastimes were enjoying spirited conversation, problem solving, and having a good chuckle over the results.

Neal is survived by his mother, Elsie Detrick; his son, Justin Detrick; his daughter, Aunna Detrick; two grandchildren, Alloy and Destany; his brother, Paul Detrick; and numerous extended family and dear friends.

Graveside Services are currently pending at the Siloah Cemetery of McDade.
