Mickey D. Hyatt, 71, of the Manda-New Sweden community, completed his earthly journey on Thursday, December 14, 2017. On February 9, 1946, Mickey Don Hyatt was born in Clovis, New Mexico to J.M. Hyatt and (Virginia) Jane Bradford Hyatt; his big brother, Jimmy Max Hyatt, was also there to welcome him into the family. Mickey grew up in the Texas Rio Grande Valley and would forever have a fondness for "The Valley" even in recent years.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, his brother, and his nephew. Mickey knew that joining them in their heavenly home would be a glorious homecoming.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Olson Hyatt, his three children, a sister-in-law, niece, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and numerous friends.
Memorials in Mickey's honor may be given to CCA Meals on Wheels, 165 West Austin Street, Giddings, TX 78942. In addition, contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of Ruth Hyatt to benefit Relay For Life of Elgin.

You are a soul.
You have a body.
