Maydell Baskett

MayDell quotBilliequot Baskett, 84, of Elgin passed away peacefully at her home early Sunday morning, April 22, 2012. MayDell was born the only child to Alice and Demontt Ray in Elgin, Texas on May 16, 1927. After graduating from Elgin High School, she married Charlie Baskett and together they raised their only son, Timothy Baskett in Elgin. MayDell worked hard her entire life until her health declined beginning with Camp Mabry in Austin as an administrative clerk for almost thirty years. Before retiring from her Federal career, she began working parttime for the Elgin Medical Center for Doctors39 Biel and Sherman a job she loved and kept until 2011.
