Maxine Dunlop

DUNLOP, MAXINE H., was born on January 23, 1924 to Annie and Hall H. Hooker in Loraine, Texas. She passed on Sunday ,August 5, 2012 in Elgin, Texas. After moving to Corpus Christi, Texas she graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1940. She received a degree in Home Economics from The University of Texas in 1944 and married Donald D. Dunlop on Christmas Eve 1944. Maxine was very active raising her three children and in civic and social improvement activities in the Texas, Tennessee, New Jersey, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Virginia and Florida communities where Dons work in the petroleum industry took them. Her most recent and enjoyable work was with the P.E.O. Sisterhood in Florida .She will be remembered for her soft voice, warm heart and loving hands. She is survived by three children, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her brotherinlaw Thomas C. Dunlop of Port Arthur, Texas, and many loving friends.
