Mary G. Villarreal, was called home to the Lord, Thursday, February 20, 2014 after a 24 year battle with Cancer. A battle fought with courage, strength, and a never ending love for the Lord. Mary is a true inspiration to her family and friends.Mary, the youngest daughter of Guadalupe and Maria Villarreal was born, Sunday, December 31, 1944 at the Butler Brickyard. Mary a lifelong resident of Elgin graduated from Elgin High School. She served her community, volunteering at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a C.C.E teacher. She also volunteered, working at local voting stations during elections. Mary worked for the T.D.M.H.M.R. system for over 20 years until her retirement. Mary enjoyed her time reading and celebrating life with family and friends.Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Maria Villarreal one sister, Susie Cantu and one brother, Victor Villarreal.Mary is survived by her son, Andrew Villarreal and Fianc Erica Weber three granddaughters, Andrea, Adriananna, and Tia grandson, Jordan Weber siblings, Lucy Vasquez of Houston, Pauline Perez and husband Ignacio of Elgin, Sydney Villarreal and wife Connie of Elgin, Felipe Villarreal and wife Ana of Houston, Gus Villarreal and wife Lana of St. Louis, Juliana Alcocer of Houston, and Guadalupe Villarreal Jr. of Mathis, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
