Mary Martinez Gusman, 97, of Taylor, was reunited with her husband and family who passed before her, in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ, Sunday, on April 25, 2021.  Family and Friends will gather at Primera Iglesia Bautista of Taylor, Wednesday, April 28th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will have a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.  A Celebration of Mary's Life will be conducted at Prima Iglesia Bautista, Thursday, April 29th at 11:00 AM with the Reverend, Adam Gusman presiding.  Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery.

Ahora su trabajo ha terminado, y ella está puesta a descansar,

En la madrugada del 21 de abril de 2021 un ángel vino y convocó el espíritu brillante de nuestra querida Madre, Mary Martínez Gusman. Sus labios estaban sellados, y su alma ha volado a un lugar de descanso eterno.

Mary Martinez Gusman nació el 31 de marzo de 1924, hijo de Marcos Martínez y Guadalupe Sánchez en la pequeña comunidad de Lexington en el condado de Williamson.

Mary estuvo casada con el pastor Salome Gusman durante más de 70 años en el momento de su muerte en 2020. Era su compañero en la vida y el ministerio. Juntos plantaron  numerosas iglesias en los alrededores y disfrutaron ministrando a su familia, incluidos nietos, y tocaron muchas vidas durante su ministerio. Ella era más que su compañera de ayuda,porque su fidelidad al deber en el trabajo del reino debe ser recordada y elogiada.

María era una mujer amorosa y espiritual que temía al Señor pero lo amaba mucho.  Amaba a todos sus hijos, ocupando un lugar especial en su corazón para cada uno mientras chillaba a sus cinco generaciones de familia.

María es precedida en la muerte por su marido  y sus padres.

Mary fue bendecida con noventa y siete años y deja en manos de Dios para atesorar  sus recuerdos  sus  hijos, Joe Gusman y su esposa, Lucy de Round Rock, la pastora Salome Gusman, Jr. y su esposa, Mary Helen de Austin, el pastor Adam Gusman y su esposa, Lisa de Taylor, Bobby Gusman de Taylor, George Martinez y su esposa, Susie, Joe Alexander Morage y su esposa, Gwen; sus hijas, Eva Amador de Brownwood, Mary Ann Perez de Taylor, Alice y su esposo, John Sánchez de Taylor, Helen y su esposo, Augustine Vela de Taylor, Diane y su esposo, Ociel Carrillo de College Station, Martha y su esposo, Roger Way of Austin, Tessie Leyendecker y su esposo, Andy Garza de Taylor, su hermana , Cruz Martínez; dos sobrinas, Rosaria Arocha e Isabel Garcón, numerosos nietos, bisnietos y bisnietos  y cinco generaciones de otros familiares y amigos, incluida la congregación en la Iglesia Primera Iglesias Bautista de Taylor.

Now her work is ended,  And she is laid to rest,

I seem to hear her whisper,  O’ Lord I’ve done my best!

Well done my faithful servant I know you’ve struggled hard.

That is why I thought to call you, From labor to rest…

On the early morning of April 21, 2021 an angel came and summoned the bright spirit of our dear Mother, Mary Martinez Gusman.  Her lips were sealed, and her soul has flown away to a place of eternal rest.

Mary Martinez Gusman was born on March 31, 1924, to Marcos Martinez and Guadalupe Sanchez in the small community of Lexington in Williamson County.

Mary was married to Pastor Salome Gusman for 70+ years at the time of his death in 2020. He was her partner in life and ministry. Together they planted numerous churches in the surrounding area and enjoyed ministering to their family including grandchildren and touched many lives during their ministry. She was more than his help mate, for her faithfulness to duty in kingdom work is to be remembered and commended.

Mary was a loving, and spiritual woman, one that feared the Lord but loved him dearly.  She loved all her children, holding a special place in her heart for each one while squeaking her five generations of family.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Mary was blessed with ninety - seven years and she leaves in God’s hands to cherish her memories her sons, Joe Gusman and his wife, Lucy of Round Rock, Pastor Salome Gusman, Jr. and his wife, Mary Helen of Austin, Pastor Adam Gusman, and his wife, Lisa of Taylor, Bobby Gusman of Taylor, George Martinez and his wife, Susie, Joe Alexander Morage and his wife, Gwen; her  daughters, Eva Amador of Brownwood, Mary Ann Perez of Taylor, Alice and her husband, John Sanchez of Taylor, Helen and her husband, Augustine Vela of Taylor, Diane and her husband, Ociel Carrillo of College Station, Martha and her husband, Roger Way of Austin, Tessie Leyendecker and her husband, Andy Garza of Taylor, her sister – in – law, Cruz Martinez; two nieces, Rosaria Arocha and Isabel Garcon, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and five generations of other relatives and friends, including the congregation at the Primera Iglesias Bautista Church of Taylor.
