Mary quotJanequot Cook of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends at the age of 71, early Tuesday morning, January 11, 2011. She was born the only child to Margaret and John E. Nichols in Elgin, Texas on June 1, 1939. After graduating from Elgin H.S. in 1957, Jane moved to Austin to broaden her horizons. Jane worked with Farmers Insurance for over 25 years before retiring in Colorado Springs, Co. Though she loved her Texas roots, she moved to Colorado in 1977 and developed a love affair with mountains, fresh falling snow and twinkling aspen trees that never died. She was the first and continually faithful member of Manifested Faith Ministries where her son, Lance Cook is the founding Pastor. There will be an empty seat in the sanctuary that can never be filled. In the spirit of altruism, she loved baking, quilting and creating flower arrangements for her family and friends. She also loved playing the piano and organ while sharing and teaching it to others. The loving works of her hands and heart will be treasured forever.
