Mark Davis

Mark Robert Davis, 70, of Elgin, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. He was born to parents Bobbie Jo and Bobby Dean Davis, on June 17, 1952, in Austin, Texas. Mark graduated from Lanier High School and received a bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Texas. In 1977, he married Juanita, the love of his life.

Mark was predeceased by his parents Bobby Dean and Bobbie Jo Davis.

Mark is survived by his wife of 45 years; his two daughters, Ashley and husband Brian Petterson and Lisa and husband Matt Nicholson; his two granddaughters, Chloe and Tegan; his grandson, Tanner; his older brother and best friend, Steve Davis and wife Carol; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

To know Mark Davis was to love him. His smile and laugh were infectious. His heart was huge, and his spirit kind. He never met a stranger and never had anything less than kindness exuding from him. Mark loved the Lord, his family, fishing, and The Texas Longhorns! Mark will leave a longhorn-shaped hole in the hearts of all who knew him.

Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, October 7th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be conducted graveside at Elgin Cemetery, Saturday, October 8th at 11:00 AM with Dr. Carol Pierce-Davis presiding.
