Maria Rena

Maria Luisa Rena, 71, of Elgin, Texas entered into heaven Saturday, October 24, 2020.  She was born in Robstown, Texas on Friday, January 14, 1949, to Adela S. and Rodolfo T. Rena.  She was raised in Houston, Texas, and moved to Elgin, Texas in September 2016.

Maria was a strong and loving mother, sister, and aunt to all of her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adela and Rodolfo Rena; siblings, George Rena, Carmen Rena, Diana Rena and Raquel Rena.

Maria leaves to cherish her memories, children. Maria Muniz, Dora Muniz, Mona Sanchez, Margaret Sanchez, Frank Muniz, Paul Sanchez, Martin Sanchez and Peter Sanchez; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Her casket will lie in state at Elgin Funeral Home, Thursday, October 29th from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 3:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, October 30th at 2:00 PM, with the Reverend, Garland Moffet presiding. Interment will follow at Young's Prairie cemetery.
