June 21, 1932 — April 19, 2015

Lydia Cervenka Prinz Miller, 82, of Elgin, Texas, left her family and friends on Sunday, April 19, 2015 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born to Frank and Annie Cervenka on Tuesday, June 21, 1932 in Thrall, Texas. On January 5, 1952 she married Leonard Prinz of Elgin and as a most wonderful mother she raised their 3 children, Patricia, Larry, and Ronald.Lydia married James Miller on November 6, 1981 and they moved to Taylor, Texas where they owned the business establishment, "Lydia"s Bar and Grill" for many years until their retirement. She enjoyed running her business, loved music and liked to dance. She also like cooking and serving her customers and was proud to be known for making the best hamburgers in Taylor.Lydia is preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; three brothers, Frankie Cervenka, Wesley Cervenka and Charlie Cervenka.She is survived by her three children, Patricia Prinz Loughrige of Elgin, Larry Prinz of Elgin and Ronald Prinz of Austin; five sisters, Janie Stasny of Dallas, Eleanora Cuzzort of Taylor, Ann Preusse of Round Rock, MaryAnn Biiells of Taylor, and Ella Mae Beaver of Elgin; daughter in law, Kelly Lapointe and son in law, Tod Loughrige of Elgin. She had 3 loving granddaughters, Lisa Jones, Lora Willis and Jayme Rice and they blessed her with 9 great grandchildren, Leonard Cantrell, Wayne Prinz, Amy Miller, Dora Willis, Rebecka Jones, Charles Jones, Chloe Young, Franklin Willis, and Skylee Rice and two great-great grandchildren. She had a special kind of love for each and every one of her family, as the most important thing in Lydia"s life was her family. The family will receive guests Wednesday, April 22nd at the Elgin Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 23rd at St. Peters Church of Coupland with Pastor Martin Garrison officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Peters Coupland Cemetery.
