Louis Bosier

We pause today to say goodbye to our first love, our hero, our Father, Mr. Louis Bosier, who was born on December 1, 1936 to Sylvester Frank Bosier and Mary Deary White in the small developed community of Smithville, Texas.  He was raised with a strong Christian foundation and accepted Christ at an early age.  He attended the public schools of Bastrop County, communicating through sign language; he was successful in playing sports, especially football at Smithville High School. After a freak accident, getting hit in the head with the football, Louis was able to hear.  He tells the story as a testimony and including how he met and married the cheerleader, Ella.

Louis was united in Holy Matrimony to Ella Mae Chase on March 7, 1959. This union was blessed with nine children.

Our Daddy had many talents, choosing carpentry as a paying talent, where he would build wooden furniture, beds, dressers, etc.  Before leaving Smithville to head off to college in San Antonio, Texas, he and his brother, Billy and a few close acquaintances/male relatives would work on cars, pulling motors and transmissions, repairing and rebuilding, then installing them back into the car they are working on. Dad graduated from St. Philips College in Automotive Repair between 1966-1968 while working construction to pay his tuition and take care of his young family. After graduation, Louis moved back to Austin and continued to work construction until he was hired to work in automotive repairs. He retired in the mid to late 90's after achieving to be one of the best A-Plus Certified Mechanics in Austin. Louis was employed by Haney's Automotive and ME Gene Johnson Automotive. After a short period of retirement living, he went back into the workforce, as a janitor at Motorola, now Freescale.

Louis led an active and fulfilling life for his legacy covered eighty-five years and four generations. He answered his call on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Louis is preceded in death by his wife of twenty-five years, his mother and father, his grandparents, Young J and Lucinda White Bosier, Louis and Margaret Williams Deary; a brother, Billy White; five children, Edward Louis Bosier, Kemp Divan Bosier, Mark Anthony Bosier, Monroe Allen Bosier, and Brett Tyone Bosier and one grandchild, Julious Earl Bosier.

Louis leaves in God’s precious hands his four children, June Etta Bosier, Sylvester Lynn Bosier, Stella Marie Bosier Cobb, and Chanda Danita Bosier Wade, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews covering five generations and a multitude of other relatives (cousins) and friends.

Louis Boiser, 85, of Smithville, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022.  Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, January 21st from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Elgin Funeral Home, Saturday, January 22nd at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery of McDade.
