Lorance Ham Anderson, 78, of Manor, Texas, passed away Thursday night, August 27, 2020. He was the first child born to the late T.F. Anderson, Sr. and Delnoia (Peterson) in Taylor, Texas on Wednesday, April 15, 1942.
He professed his belief in God at an early age. Ham was a faithful member of New Birth Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend, Raymond D. Fennell. He met and married Erea Beatrice DeShay on June 19,1967. Ham enjoyed his family and the time spent together playing dominos, eating and laughing with one another. He enjoyed his many years working at the Travis State School, where he retired after 30 years of service. Ham never met a stranger and was loved by all who met him. He will be greatly missed.
Ham is proceeded in death by, his parents; three siblings, T.F., Jr., Evelyn and Leroy.
He is survived by his wife, Erea Beatrice, of 53 years; three children, Kenneth (Theresa), Oleta and Jason (Kenyata); seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Raymond Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, God Children and many friends.
He will lay in state, Thursday, September 3rd at the Elgin Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4th at the Elgin Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with the Reverend, Edwin Blackman, Jr. presiding. Interment will follow at Capital Memorial Park.
