Linnie Louise Taylor Gorman went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the comfort of her family. She was born on April 2, 1935, in Redrock, Texas, to the late Luther Taylor and Ruth Hupper Nelms Taylor. Linnie lived in Bastrop County most of her life. Linnie was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Allie Lee Gorman, Sr.; her parents, Luther and Ruth Taylor; brothers, William L. and Robert E.; and sisters, Edith and Ida R.She is survived by her five children, Allie Gorman, Jr., of Bastrop, Linnie (David) Bruce of Bastrop, Linda (Philip) Wyles of Cedar Creek, Evelyn (David) Lehmann of Caldwell, and Kay (Mickey) Summers of Bastrop; a brother, Henry Dan (Pansy) of Austin; a sister, Dorthy (Onie) of Bastrop; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.Family will receive guests at Elgin Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19. Funeral services will be at Elgin Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20th with Reverend, Shirley Haulotte officiating.
