Linda Garrish

Linda Rose Garrish, 60, of Elgin, passed away on Friday evening, May 25, 2018. Linda was born to Vernon Willey, Sr. and Sylvia Wilbanks Willey, in Saint Louis, Missouri, on September 14, 1957. After graduating High School in Saint Louis, she moved to Houston with her uncle. Shortly afterwards, she moved to Austin and began working for Motorola, where she met her future husband, Philip Garrish. The two were soon married in Zilker Botanical Gardens on June 24, 1983. Once married, Linda and Phil purchased some land and moved to Elgin, Texas.

Linda loved to garden; growing the most beautiful flowers. She loved animals; mainly her dog and cat companions. She was a great cook and enjoyed bringing her husband lunch and preparing meals for friends and family. Linda was a huge outdoors person, her most memorable times were at the lake, coast, and camping.

She is preceded in death by both her parents; her brother, Vernon, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 35 years, Philip Garrish; her sister, Cindy and husband Tim of Illinois, her brother, James of Illinois; two brother-in-laws, Bob and John; two sister-in-laws, Barbara and Patty; as well as many dear friends, especially the cherished relationships of those whom she met on journey through recovery.
