Linda Darnell Bowles

Linda Darnell Bowles (Sawyers), was born on September 29, 1958, in Manor, Texas. She was the cherished daughter of Lincoln Sawyers Sr and Valree Decay-Sawyers. Linda was the beloved sister of Betty Sawyers, Lincoln Sawyers Jr., Jacquilyn Sawyers, Robert Sawyers, & Willie Mae Hutchins(Donald Hutchins). She was a devoted mother to her children Kamisha Harville (Reginald), Dominic Bowles (Karean) & Joseph Young. Her love extended to her grandchildren Keith, Kendrick, Dominique, Damion, Dominic Jr., Dametris, Deasha, Handsom, King-Dior, Erynn, Kenya, Kayla and Arianna. Linda was also blessed with great-grandchildren & extended grandchildren whom she loved dearly. 

She worked tirelessly as a bus driver for Del Valle ISD and later served as a CNA where she dedicated her life to the care and service of others. In her younger years, Linda had a passion for playing softball and bingo in her later years, especially with her mother. One thing was for certain: Linda loved her family! She was introduced to Christ at an early age but later rededicated her life to Christ at the St Edward's Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend JC 

Linda is preceded in death by her mother (Valree), father (Lincoln), sister (Betty), brother (Robert) and her dear grandchildren (Deon & Karma). She was also met at Heaven's gates by her two close friends, Rosemary and Pastor Yovenne. 

Linda's warmth, compassion, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed.

 A Home-Going Celebration will be conducted at Saint Edward’s Baptist Church of Austin, Saturday, August 17th at 2:00 PM with Pastor Leland Adams presiding. Inurnment will be conducted at Park Springs Baptist Church Cemetery later.
