Leslie Loving

June 20, 1984 — April 1, 2022

Elgin, Texas

To those who knew and loved Leslie Cordell Loving, He was simply ‘Les’.  He was born on July 20, 1984, in Taylor, Texas.  He was the eighth child of ten children born to Ulysses and Ray Nell Loving.

Growing up with a strong Christian foundation, Leslie, fondly known as Les accepted Christ at an early age and was Baptized by the late Reverend L. R. White, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Les actively participated in the children’s and youth programs of the church, standing on God’s word; he stood on the door of the church as a Usher and sung in the choir.  His early religious teachings have continued to be the cornerstone of his life as evident by preaching his First Sermon on September 17, 2016, at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, under the Leadership of Reverend Steven Ward.

Les attended and graduated from Elgin High School, in 2002, as a track star. furthering his education and having the ability to run track, Les attended South Plain Texas Tech College in Lubbock, Texas. As his older siblings, Les worked with the family business, Loving Construction, where he learned the meaning of hard work, and how to make a dollar.  He was a certified nurse assistant through the Golden Years Nursing Home. He was a young man with a plan.

Living his best life, Les enjoyed his children, being a good father; he loved his God, his family always greeting them with a hug and departing with their family sign “L”.  Les always shared a kiss with his Mother.  This God-fearing man walked and talked with his Bible.

Les led an active and fulfilling life for this legacy was for only thirty – seven years, it was priceless. Les finished his life journey on April 1, 2022.  Leaving his earthy tabernacle to join his grandparents, Willie and Macie Sephus and his fraternal grandparents.

Les, taking on  the name “Prime Time”, leaves his precious memories to be cherished by his children Leslie Loving, Jr. and Lexy Loving; his parents, Ulysses Loving, Sr. and Ray Nell Loving; his siblings, Ulysses Loving, Jr., Robert Loving, Penelope and her husband, Mark White, Charlene and her husband, Otis Thompson, Brian Loving and his wife, Antoinette, Victoria and her husband Marcus Newman, Aubrey Loving and his wife, Danielle, Dominique Loving and  Lonnie, and Roeshan Loving and Damien; a multitude of nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles, also a host of other relatives and friends.
