Laurene Hinnen

Laurene Yocum Hinnen, 88, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, died Sunday,September 15, 2013 at Eastgate Village Health Care Center. She wasborn July 22, 1925 in Deadwood, Texas to William Russell Hughes andAnnie Mae Adcock Hughes.Laurene was employed as a cashierchecker at a grocery store andreceptionist at a business loan company.She loved her church and served as a board member, Sunday Schoolteacher, church treasurer, church secretary and was Missionspresident. She volunteered at Muskogee Regional Medical Center, was amember of the Quilting Club and president of the hip Club atGreenleaf Apartments. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting,reading and working puzzles. Her final days were spent living withher friends at Dogwood Creek Assisted Living in Muskogee, Oklahoma.Laurene was preceded in death by her parents her first husband,Raymond Yocum, after 53 years of marriage second husband, Joe Hinnenbrother, William Don Hughes sisters, Gayle Moore, Reese Welch andMaydell Schiller and granddaughter, Danielle Yocum.She is survived by her five children, Bob Yocum Sy Hecker ofAventura, FL, Terry Yocum Charlene of Lampasas, TX, Toni PadgettCarl of Muskogee, OK, Steve Yocum Karen Case of Burnet, TX andRandy Yocum Jane Mashikian Jacob of Burnet, TX seven grandchildren,fifteen greatgrandchildren and one sister, Joann Ayres Charles.
