Laural Ellis

Laural Ellis, 51, of Coupland, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 2, 2022.  Laural graduated from Fort Stockton High School with the Class of ’89.  She went on to work in various careers, excelling in the medical profession as a phlebotomist and later as a dispatcher for the local police department.  Aside from her usual vocation, Laural was extremely talented and artistic; she loved to make homemade jewelry and crafts and was a phenomenal baker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Stout, Sr. and Joye Layette.  She leaves behind her loving husband, John Ellis; two sisters, Lesa Tavares, Leslie Elliot, and husband Clinton; two brothers, Joe E. Stout, Jr., Justin Stout and wife Marty; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.  She will forever be loved and missed by all.

A Celebration of Laural’s Life will be conducted at First Baptist Church of Fort Stockton, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
