Kimberley Williams

Kimberley Dalton Williams was the youngest child born to Ronnie Dalton and Nancy Dalton Lawson. Both parents preceded her in death. As a “Navy Brat” Kim was born in Connecticut on August 12, 1968. Nothing would get her angrier than calling her a Yankee. She was a Texan at heart.  Kim married Kenneth Gene Williams in March 1987. This union brought Kenneth Wayne Williams in to the world in 1988.

Kim was a woman of strong faith. She opened her heart and home to many over the years. Kim was a survivor; she fought many battles and came through the fire. Cancer and addiction being the big ones. She was in pain so much of her adult life but she is in pain no more. Kim loved her God and gave him praise both privately and publicly.  Kim was a member of the Baptist Church in McDade.

Kim was a mentor and caregiver to many. Even though suffering her own illness and pain she took great care of her mother before she passed. It was always in her heart to forgive others even when they caused her pain. Kim may have only given birth to one son but she mothered many. She was the best great-aunt ever and loved spending time with children. Family Reunions at Easter always brought her great joy and was something she looked forward to every year. Many will miss her presence.

Kim is survived by her husband Kenneth of 33 years and son Kenneth Wayne of McDade TX, sister, Teresa Dalton Smith and husband Cecil of Elgin TX, Aunts Judy Rosco of Los Cruces NM and Karen Rex of Corpus Christi TX, and numerous Nieces, Nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

As a woman, Father, I feel so vulnerable. I fear being hurt again.  I know that I can't hide behind

walls.  Help me to trust You, Lord, and give me wisdom about the people I can trust.  Show me safe people, God.

I love the verse in scripture that says the battle

is the Lords.  My battle is not with weapons or against a large army, but it feels every bit as

challenging!   I fight a battle to love myself and to forgive the ones who have hurt me.  I fight it

every day.  I'm thankful that the battle is Yours, Jesus.
