Juan Antonio Padro, Jr., 91, furniture carpenter of Pflugerville passed away Sunday morning, June 3, 2012. Juan moved to the United States from Puerto Rico at age 14 with his uncle to apprentice as a carpenter. Nine years later, he joined the U.S. Army. After being honorably discharged in 1946, he married the love of his life, Isabel Vega. Together they raised three children in New York City. After he retired, they moved to Texas. Juan was an avid baseball player, and played the game well into his 7039s, he enjoyed reading and writing poetry, was a gifted artist, and kept his family and friends laughing with his comical personality. He is survived by his wife, Isabel one son Robin Padro, one daughter, Jasmine Montesdeoca and grandsons, Cesar, Sergio, Christopher, and Robin, Jr. one granddaughter, Jasmine.
