El 16 de marzo de 2024, el mundo perdió un alma extraordinaria cuando José Villegas Rodríguez falleció en Austin, Texas. Nació el 7 de diciembre de 1955 en Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, México, de sus amados padres Yldefonso Villegas y Ana María Rodríguez.

José fue un gran hombre conocido por su risa contagiosa y su entusiasmo por la vida. Su personalidad jovial resonó en todos los que lo conocieron y sus nietos ocupaban un lugar especial en su corazón. Encontró una inmensa alegría al pasar tiempo con ellos y hacer reír a todos los que lo rodeaban. José tenía pasión por el acordeón y el piano, mostrando su lado artístico.

A lo largo de su vida, José se enorgullecía de momentos simples pero significativos, como trabajar junto a su hijo Meme y compartir risas con sus nietos. Tenía un profundo amor por la comida, saboreando especialmente las costillas que cocinaba su hijo Javiero disfrutando de una hamburguesa doble con queso con su hija Ana.  Los logros de los que más se enorgullece José incluyen recuerdos preciados de practicar karate con su hijo Tony y anticipar ansiosamente ver Exatlon con su esposa María.

La partida de José ha dejado un profundo vacío en los corazones de su familia y amigos. Luchó con valentía hasta el final, encarnando el espíritu de un verdadero guerrero. En memoria de este amado esposo, padre, abuelo y bisabuelo, celebremos la alegría que trajo a nuestras vidas.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Yldefonso Villegas y Ana María Rodríguez; y hermana Marta.

José deja un legado de amor y recuerdos preciados. Le sobreviven su devota esposa María Rodríguez; hijos José Manuel y esposa Juana, Javier y esposa Yesenia, José Antonio y esposa Destiny; su hija Ana y su esposo Erubiel; hermanos Basiliso, Flora, Carmelita, Ascensión, Antonio, Marisela, Irene, Gloria, Lusina, Vicente y Carmen; así como multitud de nietos: Juan, Javier Jr., Jose Angel, Matthew, Damian, Abigail, Lilyana, Jeremiah, Alexander, Aiden Xzavier, Sophia, Abriella; bisnieta Jianna.

 Familiares y amigos se reunirán para un velorio en Elgin Funeral Home el viernes 22 de marzo de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. y se recitará el Santo Rosario a las 7:00 p. m. Se llevará a cabo una misa de funeral en la Iglesia Católica St. Joseph de Manor el sábado 23 de marzo a las 10:00 a. m. La habitación será privada.

 En nuestros corazones por siempre, que José Villegas Rodríguez descanse en paz eterna.  Esto no es un adiós sino un hasta luego papá.

On March 16, 2024, the world lost a remarkable soul as Jose Villegas Rodriguez passed away in Austin, Texas. He was born on December 7, 1955, in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico, to his loving parents Yldefonso Villegas and Ana Maria Rodriguez.
 Jose was a great man known for his infectious laughter and zest for life. His jovial personality resonated with all who knew him, and his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He found immense joy in spending time with them and making everyone around him laugh. Jose had a passion for the accordion and the piano, showcasing his artistic side.
 Throughout his life, Jose took pride in simple yet meaningful moments such as working alongside his son, Meme and sharing laughter with his grandchildren. He had a deep love for food, particularly savoring the ribs cooked by his son Javier or enjoying a double cheeseburger with his daughter, Ana. Jose's proudest accomplishments included cherished memories of practicing karate with his son Tony and eagerly anticipating watching Exatlon with his wife Maria.
 Jose's departure has left a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends. He fought bravely until the end, embodying the spirit of a true warrior. In remembrance of this beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Yldefonso Villegas and Ana Maria Rodriguez; and sister, Marta.
 Jose leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife Maria Rodriguez; children Jose Manuel and wife Juana, Javier and wife Yesenia, Jose Antonio and wife Destiny; their daughter Ana and husband Erubiel;  siblings, Basiliso, Flora, Carmelita, Ascension, Antonio, Marisela, Irene, Gloria, Lusina, Vicente, and Carmen; as well as a multitude of grandchildren: Juan, Javier Jr., Jose Angel, Matthew, Damian, Abigail, Lilyana, Jeremiah, Alexander, Aiden Xzavier, Sophia, Abriella; great-granddaughter Jianna.

 Family and Friends will gather for a Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, March 22nd from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Manor on Saturday, March 23rd at 10:00 AM.  Inurnment will be private.
 
In our hearts forevermore, may Jose Villegas Rodriguez rest in eternal peace.  This is not a goodbye, but a see you later, Dad.
