Jonna Daly

Jonna Mae Daly, 91, went to her Heavenly Father December 29, 2020. Jonna was born in Phoenix, Arizona July 1,1929, To John and Deirdre Wood (Dennehey).  She was a professional dance teacher, mother and later a very talented, amateur oil paint artist.  She gave many of her lovely paintings as gifts to family members over the years. She was married to her loving husband Charles “Chuck” Daly for 55 years.

Jonna is preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2010; her son Bill Stanton in 1998; and her great-granddaughter, Alliccia in 2015.

Jonna leaves behind two daughters, Deirdre and husband  Dewey of Colorado and Heather and husband Kenneth Weldy of Texas; three sons, Charles M. and wife DeDe of Florida, Brian and wife Lisa of Texas, and Scott and wife Deb of Texas; her seven sisters and five brothers; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and dear friends.

Family will received guests at Elgin Funeral Home, Sunday, January 3rd, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.  A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be prayed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monday, January 4th at 10:30 AM.  Celebration of Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM with Father George presiding.  Christian burial will follow Mass at Fairview Cemetery, Bastrop, Texas.
