John Farris

John Wayne Farris, 64, of McDade, Texas passed away Friday afternoon, October 21, 2016. He was born on December 3, 1951, to Minnie Lee and Hubert Farris, Sr. John Wayne grew up and spent his whole life in McDade. He worked for Butler Brick for over 40 years until he retired in 2014. John loved to stay busy and would often be found outside tinkering with lawn mowers and trucks. He always had a smile and a wave for everyone he saw.

John is preceded in death by both his parents and his brother, Jim Allen Farris.

He is survived by his nine siblings, Evelyn Wolf, Inez Haverland, Lois and husband Chuck Pace, Hubert Farris, Jr. and wife Lilly, Robert Farris, Fred Farris, Curtis Farris, Linda Carpenter Saunders and husband Glenn, and Douglas Farris.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, October 28th at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Dixon Prairie Cemetery, Paige.
