Joel Carrillo

Joel Carrillo, 37, of Elgin, Texas, passed away suddenly, Sunday morning, June 29th, 2014. He was born on Sunday, June 12th, 1977 to Rosalinda Colin in Austin, Texas.Joel was raised in Elgin, Texas where he attended public schools in Elgin ISD. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His talent of cooking was more of a hobby than a job especially when it was for family gatherings. He loved football seasons and rooting on his favorite NFL team, the San Francisco 49ers.Joel is preceded in death by his grandfather, Mr. Frank Carrillo.Joel leaves to cherish his memories, the love of his life, Gina Rivera and her two sons, Santos Alderete, III and Isais Alderete mother, Rosalinda Colin grandmother, Aurora Nunez Carrillo two sisters, Stephanie and husband Joseph Rodriguez and Tomazina Colin one brother, Josh Carrillo and partner Martin Gonzales three nephews, Jonathan, Joseph and Aiden one niece, Ayla a host of uncles, great uncles, aunts and great aunts and a multitude of cousins, distant relatives and friends.The family will receive guests at Elgin Funeral Home at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 2, 2014. A Funeral Service will be held at Elgin Funeral Home, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Anthony Buchanan officiating. Intermittent will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.
