It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joe Stanley Thompson Jr., who entered God’s Heavenly Kingdom, on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Joe was born in Austin, Texas to Ruby Arredondo and Joe Stanley Thompson, Sr. on September 14, 1996.
Joe had a passion for culinary arts and enjoyed a career in the food industry, where he especially loved owning and operating a food truck in Austin. When he wasn’t working, he found immense joy in spending time with friends and family, where his presence always added an extra layer of warmth and laughter.
Joe is survived by his son Joe Thompson “Duke” and his daughter Sierra Thompson “Baby Girl,” along with four beloved grandchildren who were very dear to his heart. He is also survived by his brothers Otis Thompson, Oscar Thompson, John Thompson, Andrew Thompson, and Christopher Thompson, as well as his sisters Edna, Selsa, and Linda-Roxie.
We find solace in remembering the fond memories we shared with Joe and knowing that he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior. His legacy will live on through all those whose lives he touched. Joe’s fun-loving and caring personality brightened every room he entered and his kind heart will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Family and Friends will gather to Celebrate Joe’s Life, at Elgin Funeral Home, Friday, June 28th at 2:00 PM with Reverend Roosevelt White presiding.
