Jessie Ferrales, 73, of Elgin, a cherished member of the community, was known for his unwavering dedication to his work at IBM and his deep love for his family. He passed away on May 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and familial devotion. Born on July 27, 1950, in Elgin, Texas, Jessie's life was a testament to the power of love and dedication.
In addition to his professional life, Jessie had a rich personal life filled with achievements. He worked at IBM, where he retired from, and also contributed his talents to NCS Pearson. His commitment and hard work were evident in all that he pursued, both professionally and personally.
Beyond his career achievements, Jessie found joy in various hobbies and interests. He spent his leisure time delving into reading the Austin American Statesman and cheering on his favorite sports teams, including NASCAR, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, Texas Longhorns, and Dallas Cowboys.
Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, Janie Mendez Ferrales and Estanislado Ferrales, his sister, Anita Coy, and granddaughter, Ashley Castorena.
Those left to cherish his memory include brothers, Richard Ferrales and Fred Ferrales; daughter, Jessica, and husband Manuel Castorena III along with their children Isaac Castorena, Alejandro Castorena, and Manuel Castorena IV; sons, Ryan Mitchell Ferrales, James “Eric” Ferrales, and daughter-in-law Sarah Ferrales along with their children Christopher Ferrales and Abigail Ferrales; great-grandchildren, Silas Ferrales, Liam Ferrales, and Angie Ferrales will carry forward the love he showered upon them.
Family and Friends will gather to pay their respects at Elgin Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass, a celebration of Jessie's life, will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Elgin on Saturday, June 1st, at 12:30 PM, with Father Paul presiding. A Christian Burial will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery, where Jessie will be laid to rest
Jessie Ferrales will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly cherished and loved during his time with us.
