Jessica Tolliver

August 5, 1978 — November 19, 2022

Elgin, Texas

On the day of August 5, 1978, in the small town of Taylor, Texas, the late Evelyn Faye Tolliver and the late Matthew Tolliver were blessed with their third baby girl. This gift from God was given the name, Jessica Faye Tolliver.

Jessica grew up as Jennifer, and Winifred’s little sister and Jeanette and Angela’s big sister, yes, she was the in the middle, often displaying the middle child syndrome. The girls grew up loving and caring for each other’s…always covering each other back. They did everything together.  Jessica attended the public schools of Elgin and graduated from EISD Phoenix School. She was blessed with a strong Christian foundation, leaning, and understanding the Ten Commandments, which led her to accept Christ at an early age.  Jessica attended church with her family, including her cousins, as they participated in various activities of the church, so did Jessica, from singing in the youth choir, being an usher and Sunday School.  Jessica joined Mount Moriah Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of the late Reverend L. R. White. She noted at that time, she was legal, as she continued to work and participate in the church.

Joining the workforce of life, Jessica became a CNA in 1997. She enjoyed the healthcare field, caring for others.  Jessica joined Girling HealthCare and received many personal rewards for the care and help she gave to others.

Jessica met Levester Milligan and they had three girls. Jessica was a hard-working woman and a great Mom, as she became a grandmother, she was living her best life.  Jessica loved to cook and enjoyed listening to the blues and gospel music. She favored the “sister’s time”, which meant a short time to an all evening with Aunt Flossie.  Jessica loved her family, and the times she was able to spoil her children and grandchildren.

On November 19, 2022, Jessica Faye heard the voice of Jesus and left her earthly tabernacle, leaving all she loved so dearly behind. As her family surrounded her bedside, holding a sister’s hand…she bid this world goodbye. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Jennifer Renne Mayzone, one nephew, A`dien Pena, and other family Angels.

As we accept God’s will, Jessica Faye, our Social Butterfly,  leaves to cherish her precious memories; three daughters, Bri`Alma Milligan, LaQusha Milligan, and Jasmin Milligan; five grandchildren, Damarcus De`Onta Williams, King De`Andre Lopez, Amaria Dhue, Jess McCoy Hyatt, VI, and Jordan Ke`Onta Milligan; three sisters, Winifred Snow, Jeanette Tolliver-Hankins (Lamont Hankins) and Angela L.
