Janet Jensen

Janet Marie Jensen, 59, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013. Janet was born in Newhall, California to Lillian Elnora Hoehn Jensen and Vernon Harvey Jensen on July 20, 1953. She grew up in Elgin and moved to Austin, where she began her career with the State of Texas until her retirement from the Highway Department in August of 2003. After her retiring from the state, she worked for Oscar Rodriguez.She is survived by both her parents, Lillian and Vernon Jensen and her two brothers, Jim and Donald Jensen.Memorial contributions can be made in Janets memory to the Piano Fund at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 225 Lexington Road, Elgin, Texas 78621.The family received guests at the Elgin Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, January 31st. A funeral service was conducted at the Elgin Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Friday, February 1st with Pastor Bob Stauffer officiating. Interment followed at Pee Lee Cemetery.
