Jamie Marie Moers

Jamie Marie Moers was born on December 11, 1972, in Houston, Texas, to Rebecca Ann Jackson and Robert Lee Moers. With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Jamie, who left us unexpectedly from a heart attack on February 3, 2025, at the age of 52.

For the past 20 years, Jamie lived in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where she built a home, raised her children, gathered a large circle of friends, and was loved by her extended family. Last September, she returned to Texas to be with her brother’s family and embrace a new chapter in life.

Jamie was wild and free—her authentic and snappy spirit made her truly unforgettable. She was wholehearted in everything she did and was always quick to lend a helping hand. Family and friends meant everything to Jamie. She cherished every moment with her loved ones, always bringing laughter and an undeniable presence to every gathering. Her down-to-earth nature had a way of making people feel truly seen and valued.

Her love for animals was immeasurable, and she would sacrifice her own comfort to ensure they were well cared for. Whether it was her own beloved pets or a stray in need, Jamie’s compassion for animals knew no bounds.

Jamie had an undeniable love for music and never missed an opportunity to attend a concert or simply enjoy a good time. If there was fun to be had, Jamie was there—singing along, dancing, and soaking up every moment. She had a gift for perfectly timed movie quotes, always delivering the right line for a laugh or a shared moment. A devoted Sons of Anarchy fan, she never missed a chance to rewatch or talk about the show. She also had an eye for capturing life’s simple joys, constantly Snapchatting her daily adventures and the little things that caught her attention. She was solid. She was fun. She was unapologetically herself, with a heart of gold and a quick wit that could bring levity to any situation. She lived boldly, loved fiercely, and left behind memories that will be treasured forever.

Jamie is preceded in death by her parents, Beckie and Robert. She is survived by her two children, Kayla Kristin Williams and Christopher Anthony “Tony” Cotton; Kayla’s husband, Alex Williams, and Tony’s partner, Alyssa Buetow. She will be profoundly missed by her siblings, Cyndie Cantrell, Robert Moers, and William Moers, along with their spouses and families. Jamie was the “fun aunt” to many nieces and nephews who will feel her absence deeply. Additionally, she leaves behind countless friends and extended family members who will forever miss her presence, humor, and exuberant spirit.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, but her loss leaves an immeasurable void. She will be missed greatly, remembered affectionately, and cherished always.
