James Blomberg

James Harold Blomberg, 88, farmer of New Sweden, passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, November 19, 2011. He was born the first of three children to Beda and John Blomberg, on January 11, 1923. James grew up in the New Sweden Community and left briefly in November of 1944, to serve his country with the U.S. Navy. In June of 1946, he returned home and began farming again in the New Sweden Community. He was a hard worker and spent his past time watching baseball, attending the reunions with his shipmates from the Destroyer U.S.S. Wadleigh, and attending worship at his home church, New Sweden Lutheran Church.
